At the inquest on Whibley, the Sunday school teacher who was shot by Berthaf Paterson, the evidence showed that the shooting was premeditated* Mlis Paterson explained that she shot Whibley in order to protect the Sunday school Children from Whibley's misconduct, but her allegations were apparently groundless. A verdict of wilful murder Was returned.
