The Premier states that several of the .colonies strenuously oppose compensation to the New Guinea land syndicate unless üble to ipake out a strong claim It has been arranged that the Agents-QeneraJ shall deal with the claim, and the colonies will abide by their decision. LONDON, February 6. Mr Chamberlain has been legally advised that the New Guinea land syndicate have no claim for compensation for dis-: allowance of the ordinance. He only recommended payment of out of pocket expenses since April.,
