She left Greymouth on the 19th inst., Westport on the 21st, Lyttelton on the 23rd, Akuroa on the 23rd, Timaru ou the 24th, Camara on the 25th at 2 p.m., and arrived os above. She leaves to-morrow for Westport.

The ship Soukar, from Glasgow, which lost six men overboard in a gale, and afterwards put into Mauritius for repairs, resumed her voyage to Dunedin on Wednesday last. The barque Ebba, which proceeded from here to Wellington, and afterwards left there for Papeete, arrived at her destination last mouth to load copra for Europe. For repairs to the barquentino Linda Weber, four tenders, varying from £7OO to £9OO, have been received, and four tenders, ranging from £l6O to £2lO, for renewing the rigging.

In his last monthly report the harbor-master at Greymouth stated that the bar was in good condition, the average depth of water being 24ft 7in, and in tlielrivev 7ft.18 in

The present S.W. breeze should bring up to the Heads the Ita'ian barque Savoia, which left Now York on July 20, and is now 128 days out.

The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Waimate, from the Bluff, arrived this forenoon and was berthed at the George street pier to take on board a quantity of sacks of oats, bales wool, cases of butter, tallow, and other cargo for London. She left the Bluff at 4 p.m. yesterday. From here she goes to Auckland, Waltara, Wanganui, and Wellington, sailing from the latter port for London about the middle of December.

The following vessels have been at the Dunedin wharves during the past week; Arrivals ■ Tutanekai 412 tons, Waikato 1,901, Talune 1,303, Te Anau 1,028, Taranaki 1,130, Taupo 408; total, 6182 tons. EXPECTED STEAMER ARRIVALS TOMORROW.

The Mararoa, from Sydney via Auckland and way ports, will reach Port Chalmers at about eight o'clock to-morrow morning, and come up to Dunedin between two and three in the afternoon. She leaves again on Monday for Sydney.

NEW STEAMER FOR THE INVERCARGILL . TRADE.

Messrs Allsup and Co. launched from their yards on the R bble on October 14 the s.s. Rimu, which has been built to the order of Messrs Keith Ramsay and Sundstrum. She is 140 ft in length. 24ft in breadth, and 10ft Sin in depth; is fitted with two sets of triple engines, with 16in and 2Sin cylinders, and boilers 10ft in diameter, by Bft 6in, working at 2001b. She will carry forty-five passengers, of whom twenty will be first class. Although not yet registered, she is said to be of about 280 tons burthen, and after being fitted up with boilers, etc., will, in the course of four or five weeks, steam to New Zealand with a cargo of coal under the charge of Captain Sundstrum.
