r J he we< kly meeting of the Land Board, held yesterday, was attended by 'the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr J, P. Maitland) and Commissioners Dallas, Duncan, and Kirk Patrick. Timothy Shine asked to he allowed to plough a further portion ot sections 33, block 43, and 45, block 7, Tokarahi Estate, iu order to clean it from couch and other weeds.—Referred to Ranger Atkinson for a report. 'J he Town Clerk, Kaseby, applied to have section 193, block 1, Town of Naseby, reserved and vo-ted in the Borough Council as a site for a fire brigade station; also to have sections 187, 183, L 6. 162, 194 to 193, and 201 set aside as an endowment for the borough.—Government to be recommended to value the reserve in question and to vest it in the Borough Council The Board could not see thsir way to recommend the reservation of the other sections mentioned. Hanger Mackenzie reported on runs 458 and 468, Matukituki, and runs 3468 and 346 c, and sections 9, 11 to 17, block 3, j'art.—lt was decided to offer the runs at auction on pastoral license for fourteen jears, the upset rental of the Matukituki mms tn be £l3 and of the Dart runs £5, with a valuation iu the former case of £l9 for improvements. F. Goodsir wrote stating that he was prepared to apply for section 11, block 5, Woodland, if the Board would lease the section by itself. - Consideration deferred for a week.

For the reason stated, surrender was a<cepteJ, the section to be allotted to Thomas Driver.—C. Jung applied for a license to occupy quarrv reserve, section 41, block 12, Tautuku. To bo allow ed to occupy the settlor until it is required for any public purpose, on condition that the rabbits are destroyed. F. G. Dalziell, for Alexander Love, applied for a roadway over part of section 29, block 6, Akatore, held under coal lease by Anthony Young.—Referred to Ranger Hughan for report. T. Chalmor, for A. M‘Donald, applied to be allowed valuation for a turnip crop of 40 acres on si ctions 10 and 17, block 8, and 7 to 10, block 9, Mount Hyde —Valuation to be allowed for 40 acres if put into turnips ; to be made fourteen days before the day of sale, and to be notified at the sale.
