Fraser (Queenstown), 'Death of Nelson,' 30. , Tenor Horns.—l. J. Gibson (Mosgiel), The Ash. grove,* 33; 2, R. May 'The Ash« grove,' 28. , _ . Cornets.—l, J. Moore (Riverton), Rule Bntannia,' 31; 2, H. Beaven (Winton), 'My pretty Jane,' 30; 3, H. Guest (Mosgel),' Little Nell/ 28. Euphonium.-1, W. Yeoman (Port Chalmers), 39; 2, A. Merrilees (Riverton), 29. At a meeting of bandmasters it was de« cided to hold the next contest at Queenstown, and a selection and march are to be obtained from Home. It was also decided to nominate five suitable men for the position of judge, and make a choice by means of preferential voting.
