WORK AND WAGES.
At the meeting of the Workers’ Political Committee, held last evening, the following resolutions were passed “ That this Committee express regret at the death of the Right Hon. Sir George Grey, and place on record their appreciation of the many valuable services rendered by him to the democracy of New Zealand.” “ That this Committee express sympathy with, and endorse the sentiments expressed by, Mr A. Morrison, both in the House of Representatives and in the controversy that has eventuated between the latter gentleman and Mr S. Brown, in connection with the imperfect manner that apprentices are taught their trades in New Zealand*”
