Mallß close at .the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject: to any necessary alterations), as under:— . Overland. North, daily, 10.30 a.m. Late letters, mail van, 11 a.m.
Tuesday, September 21. :For Northern Ports.—Per Tarawera, at 1.30 p,m. Late letters, guard's van. Port train, at 2.30 v.fa.
Thursday, September 23. For Southland, Australian Colonies (via Hobait) India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per raliine, at 1 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, books, and newspapers, at noon.
Parcels post mails for the Australian Colonies will close at 3.30 p.m. on the 22nd. Correspondence for the United Kingdom to be specially addressed " via Melbourne." A supplementary mail will be made up at 3.30 to connect with the Talune at the Bluff).
Friday, September 24. For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Te Anau at 2 p.m. Late letters, C.P.0., at 2.10 p.m
Saturday, September 25. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies.— Per Mararoa, at 7.3 C p.m. Tuesday, September 28. " For London direct.—Per Ruahine, from Wellington. Mails will close at 10 a.m. Correspondence must be specially addressed. Late letters, mail van. North express, at 11 a.m. Mails for" Fiji, per poherua, close at Auckland on the 21st, at 3 p.m.
Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Ovalau, will close at Auckland on the 22nd. at 4 n.m Mails for Tahiti will close at Wellington on or about the 22nd inst.
Mails for Rajotonga and Tahiti will close at Auckland, per Upolu, at 4 p.m. on 29th inst. Mails for Chatham Islands, per Kahu, close at Lyttelton on Ist October, at 8 p.m. . (Signed) Edm. Cook, Ch'ef Postmaster. Ohwt Post Office, September 20,1897.
