ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A child named Taylor, aged two years and eight months, was killed by strangulation at Hawera, through getting his head in a wire fence. The mother only missed him for five minutes, and when he was found he was quite dead, :
At the Bluff on Sunday afternoon J. M'Pherson, refrigerating fireman on the s.s. Fifeshire, was struck by the reversing gear and, injured internally. He sncoumbed to his injuries at three o’clock yesterday morn.ing. John Bobsien dropped dead while working in his claim at Waitahuna yesterday.
