FOOTBALL.
_ of . the eight matches played between Wellington and Auckland, five have been won by Wellington, two by Auckland, and one was drawn. The last time Auckland were successful was in ISS6. Prior to Saturday, Wellington had won the last four matches.
The Green Island Association Football Club have entered four teams for the five-a-side tournament next Saturday, The Queen’s Park Club will enter two teams, chosen from the following Haynes, Mill, M‘Donald, Bradley, Wilson, Spraggon (2), Simona, Arthur, Lnag, Hiddlestone, and Adams. The Rbslyn and Rangers Club will probably enter three teams'each. It is estimated that thirteen or fourteen teams will take partin the tournament, which, given a fine day, should prove a gbi success.
