AUCKLAND, August 23. On Thursday last a whirlwind at Ohiraoetai, near Tauranga, made a track through some tea-tree and fern, and unroofed the large barn at Nat Dickey’s farm. Corrugated iron was twisted and driven 3ft into the earth, and an empty dray shifted a considerable distance.

Judge Conolly suspended the discharge of George Jamea Robert Dormer, a bankrupt, for twelve mouths. WESTPORT, August 23. The Ron. A. J, Cad man arrived from Nelson by special coach last evening. If a summons were issued the order should be made applicable to all the creditors. He intended to confer with the Justice Department ou the subject.
