FOR half a century the name of cod liver oil has been associated in one way or another with all affections of throat and lungs, together with any condition of diseased or depleted blood. For a quarter of a century above all other forms of cod liver oil has been Scott’s Emulsion, which combines the oil in a palatable form with the kypophosphites of lime and soda —a standard remedy for appetite, bones, nerves, and brain. Inasmuch as Scott’s Emulsion is in aocord with medical science, it is only natural should prescribe it, as happened in the following case : “ For many months my wife suffered from pleurisy, combined with a lung affection and general weakness.
