The news of the assassination of Senor Canovas, the.Spanish Premier, created a panic at Havana.
Maria Christina, the.Queen Regent, in a letter to the widow, states how deeply she has been affected by the horrible misfortune, and asserts that the country and history would do justice to the life and work of Senor Canovas.
Golli maintains a defiant attitude. He declares that equally startling crimes are imminent.
