A REAL LILLIPUTIAN.

The little village of Hartley, in Yorkshire, boasts the possession of a midget baby, which surely must be the most diminutive human being that ha 3 yet been seen. This atom of humanity, little Margaret Suddaby, is now seventeen months old, is but 12in in length, and only a few ounces in weight. She is pretty in appearance, with a bright and intelligent expression, aud perfectly formed. So tiny was she at birth (barely 6m long) that a difficulty arose in providing suitable clothings for her, and for some months the child was simply wrapped in cotton wool. She has never worn anything but doll's clothes, and sleeps in a toy cradle, which can be easily deposited in an ordinary doll's house. She enjoys good health, ami up to the present has not suffered from any of the usual childish ailments. So singular a freak of Nature has aroused considerable interest among the villagers and the inhabitants of the surrounding districts, and many tempting offers have been made to the parents by, enterprising showmen, but up to the present without success.
