The annnal meeting of the Canterbury Trotting Club was held last night The balance-sheet showed that the clnb disbursed during the year in stakes £3,310, against £1,619 in the previous year. The totalisator receipt*) increased from £1,198 to £2,259. The nominations amounted to £796, against £478 in the previous year, and the acceptances increased from £392 to £.504. The profit for the year was £2OO, and the assets amount to £1,649. The Press AssocUtion omitted to forward us particulars of the match between Taranaki and Waicarapa at Hawea last Saturday. It resulted in a draw, after a very even game. Haigh scored for the visitors, and Bayly for Taranaki, both trie* being converted. The Tahuna Vaik Trotting Club bold races on Saturday and Tuesday, commencing I at 12 80 each day.
