The first of the workmen's trains will begin running morning and evening to Petone next month. Captain Coulson, of the steamer Herald, reports that on the: last trip from Grey mouth to the Bluff he went close in to Milfprd Sound, and got a good look at Tutoko, which is reported to have become.an active volcano. He confirms the truth of the statement, as he could see large volumes of smoke and vapor pouring out.
