THE FLOODS RELIEF FUND.
The final meeting of the Committee was held tibia afternoon, the Hon. R. Oliver presiding. The Treasurer reported that the total subscriptions received amounted to £1,395 8s lOd, and that £BOO had been remitted to Napier. The expenses came to £l9 14s 61. A letter was received from the chairman of the Town Board at Bulls detailing the losses in the Rangitikei district, but it was decided that the information came to hand muoh too late. The treasurer acknowledged the receipt of £6 lis from the Evening Star's " chapel," employe*?; and Runners' Society; and £los 3d from the Union street School children. It was decided to remit £450 to Napier.
