THE BRISBANE EXHIBITION
The collection of fruit whimh is being prepared for Mr Blackmore for the Brisbane Exhibition will consist of typical specimens of about fifty of the kinds of apples and a few kinds of pears most approved in Canterbury and Otago, between 120 and 150 siDgle specimens, of apples, and twelve bushel cases of siK varieties (two ooseg of each) of apples parted for export, Mr Rlackrnorp has obtwned Jbhe collection of potatoes which was exhibited, hy the Agricultural College at the Winter Show, and another collection, comprising about fifty varieties distinct from those in the Lincoln collection. A very nige ieolleotion of jams, preserves, and bottled and canned fruits is'being sent by Messrs Irvine and Stevenson, Dunedin, and one of jams and preserves by Messrs A. and, J- M'Farlane, Dunedin. Spray pumps are being sent by Messrs Howden and Moncrieff and A. and T. Burt, Dunedin ; and a collection of oiderand perry by Messrs Fletcher, Humphreys, and Co., CHristchurch. A collection from the North Island and Nelson is being formed in Wellington, and so far as apples are concerned the colony will be well, though ..possibly not largely, represented.
