SCENERY PRESERVATION.
WELLINGTON, January 24. The Government have now under consideration the question of obtaining necessary general legislation for the preservation of scenery in different parts of the colony, and more particularly the scenery of VVakuri Gorge, Otira Gorge, Buller Gorge, Rai Valley, and around the lakes in the S >uth Island.
