SOCIAL MEETINGS.
The North-east Valley Young Men's Christian Mission held their ordinary fortnightly meeting on Tuesday evening. The subject for discussion was 'The Bloodsprinkled Door,' and a very enjoyable contribution was given by the treasurer, which was afterwards enlarged upon by the vicepresident (Mr Austin). It was reported that all accounts owing had been paid, and a small cash balance was in hand. The secretary was ordered to write to absent members.
The usual meeting of the North-east Valley Bible Band was held at the Christian Chapel yesterday. A letter from the Y.P.C.E. Society of First Church, Dunedin, was received, inviting two delegates to ba present at its annual social. Two members were appointed to represent the band on that occasion. One new member was elected.
