SOCIAL MEETINGS.
The Kaikorai Band of Hope held their usual monthly concert in the Oddfellows’ Hall on Saturday evening. The hall was crowded. Songs, readings and recitations, cornet and violin solos were given by members and friends, also two part songs by eight lady friends in costume, which were jnucb appreciated. A dialogue by the members concluded a most interesting and enjoyable entertainment. On Friday afternoon, at the New Zealand Clothing Factory H. Wilkins was the recipient from .fear co-workers of a, hand. Borne dinner service on the occasion of her marriage. Mr Helean made the presently tlon, and Mr R. M‘lndoo responded. The annual meeting of tns Mignonette Quadrille Club was held on Friday evening, when the balance-sheet showed the club to have had a very successful season. Presentations were made to Mr Smeal (secretary), Mr C. Scanlan and Mr A. Campbell (senior and junior masters of ceremonies), Mr G. Paterson and Mr L. Mantell (musicians), and Mr Jones (caretaker of the Albany street Hall). .Songs and recitations were given by the members.
