ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
On Thursday evening Dr Will gave the last of his course of lectures on ‘Nursing’ at the rooms of the Y oung Women’s Christian Association. The examination of the class will probably take place on Thursday week. At the conclusion of the lecture Dr Will was presented with a gold penc.l-case by Mrs Logie on behalf of the class. Dr Cattan is now instructing a class of men in first aid at Berwick. At Middlemarch a class has been formed for men under the tuition of Dr Myles. There is in process of formation a class for ladies also.
As will be seen by a reference to our
advertising columns, a course of first-aid lectures to women will be held at Abbotsford. The first of the series will take place on the 241h inst. at Runciman’s Hall. Dr Will is to be the lecturer.
Dr Stenhouse gave another lecture on nursing to his class in the Young Women’s Christian Association Room on Tuesday evening. The Association has considered it desirable to afford ambulance instruction to the children in the Industrial School, and arrangements are made to begin a course of lectures iu the school next week. Dr Will has undertaken the office of lecturer. At the monthly meeting of the Central Committee, held on Thursday evening, a large amount of correspondence was considered.
