THE ENGLISH GENERAL ELECTION.

LONDON, July 30.
The following members hare been reelected : —Mr T. Dolling Bolton (L.) for North-east Derbyshire, Mr Arthur O’Connor (Anti - Barnellito) for East Donegal, and Sir Thomas Lea (U.) for South Derry. The polling for Orkney takes place next week, and, with this exception, the elections are now finished.
The final result is ; Conservatives, 339 ; Liberal-Unionists, 72 ; Liberals, 176; Barnellites, 12 ; Anti-Parnellites, 76.

LONDON, JULY 30.
The Tories have decided to oppose Mr Gully as speaker. ‘The Times’ warns them that if they do they will run the risk of reducing their majority to under a hundred. Many newspapers urge Mr Balfour to bo magnanimous and re-elect the Speaker, Mr J. Lowther threatens to form a “ cave ” against Mr Balfour.
