AUCKLAND, July 30,
The Auckland Gas Company have declared an interim dividend at the rate of 7s 6d on paid-up shares and Us 9d on new shares.
WELLINGTON, July 31
The first step in connection with Iho cyanide process case was taken before the Regis tearof Patents (M r Haselden) for an amendment of the Cassel Company’s specification. The preliminary point was as to whether the Registrar could proceed with the hearing of the application for amendment, seeing that a petition for revocation had been filed, and argument was confined to this point alone. It was stated in the course of argument that whatever the decision might be an appeal by way of a special case would be made from his decision to the Supreme Court, and probably from the Supreme Court to the Court of Appeal, the question before each of these courts to be whether the Registrar should proceed to hear the amendment while the petition was still pending. Mr Haselden reserved his decision.
