Professor Henderson, of Edinburgh, carefully compiled statistics of Inflammation of the Lungs and the mortality attending it under all modes of treatment. Out of every 100 cases treated Allopathically 21 died. Out of every 100 treated Homceopathicallyßdied. In Pleurisy Allopathy loses from Z ,0 per cent " while Homoeopathy only loses about 2 per cent. Dr Henderson asserts that in Allopathic Hospitals the average duration of disease was op days, whilst in Homoeopathic Hospitals, in similar diseases, it was only 10 days. Statistics are all alike on this point. It is only one of the tacts of the Homoeopathic system that it cureß quicker. In the first place, properly administered, Homoeopathic medicines act at once on the disease. Having acted, the patient begins at once to recover from the disease, and is not kept back by having to recover from the drugging of the Allopathic system. Thousands of patients under Allopathic treatment have not only to combat disease, but a treatment that, to call it by its proper name, is simply barbarous. They are first reduced by the disease, and while so reduced are dosed day after day with noxious, injurious, poisonous drags, chemicals, etc., that their systems would revolt at it m health, and that if administered in health would make them sick. Who can estimate the advantage of being cured quickly to tho working man, or to anyone whose time is valuable. FACT NUMBER SIX. Homoeopathy is cheaper than Allopathy. In the first place, as remarked in fact No. 5, time is money. Homoeopathic medicines do not cost the patient one-fifth as much as Allopathic medicines. It is a common occurrence for a patient to spend from £1 to £lO for medicines, plasters, lotions, etc., during an attack of disease when treated Allopathically. How little Morphia, Quinine, Opium, Chloral, Antipyrioe, and the liko it takes to run up a bill at the chemists. Who can estimate the thousands of pounds that would be saved to local and General Governments if the charity patients in their hospitals could be cured in half the time it now takes, and the large Having in cost of medicines, thus saving the expense of caring for those patients, and also permitting each hospital to care for the same number of patients annually with half the accommodation now required. Time is money. This fact of Homoeopathy must not be under-estimated.
