THE TICHBORNE CLAIMANT.
■ [Pek Tress Association.] : LONDON, May 31. The ' People' states that Orion's knowledge of the Tichborne family was obtained at Bogle, in Sydney. When at Sydney the Claimant intended to raise all the money possible and slip away to California and there lose his identity, as he feared to proceed with the imposition. When he reached Panama he found he could not evade the curiosity of his fellowpassengers, and consequently had to go on to England. Interesting details are given of his first interview with Lady Tichborne. SYDNEY, June 1. Jean Luie, the ex-convict, has sworn an affidavit containing amplification of the confession he made in December, in which he declared emphatically that the inmate of the Parramatta Lunatic Asylum is Tichborne. He also states that Orton told him that ho was a mate of Tichborne's for years in Australia, and from him obtained a history of the Tichborne family. _
