LAND BOARD.
The weekly meeting, held yesterday, was attended by the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr J. P. .Maibland) and Commissioners Clark, Duncan, M'Kerrow, and Dallas.
Mr A. G. Farquhar applied to surrender the southern portion of section 'i, block 0, Catlins, 19la 3r 32p.—Surrender agreed to as per sketch, and rental to be reduced accordingly. Sock Inspector llassall forwarded an application by .J. \V. Gent for a grazing right over section 1, block 7, and section 46, block G, Rankleburn.—Referred to Chief Commissioner.
Mr Robert Clapperton applied to transfer part of perpetual lease section 80, block 8, Glenomaru, 93 acres, to Mr George Fav. '. cett, jtiu.— Transfer approved subject to survey fees. Margaret A. Murdoch applied for a rehearing to transfer section 8, block 1, Maniototo, to Mr George Devenney. - this case the Hon. J. MacGrcgor appeared for the Farmers' Agency, the mortgagees who sold the land, and Mr \V. C. Macgrcgor for Margaret Murdoch. After taking evidence, which occupied some considerable time, consideration was deferred for a week.
Mr Thomas Knowles applied to transfer perpetual-lease sectiw 54, block 1, Catlins, to -lames and John Mitclu 11.—Approved. The Board theu a "journcd till Friday.
