THE WELLINGTON REGATTA.

The Auckland representative, the Waitangi (steered by her owner and builder, Mr Logan}, maintained her lead throughout in the iirst Class. Championship Yacht Race, the prize for wlyoh was £IOO and the commodore’s cup, and crossed the winning point, last evening at 4h s'Jmin friscc. The Lyttelton owned Moscotte, who finished second three or four miles behind the winner, completed her distance at 5h 27min 29sec. The Pastime (Lyttelton) finished just in front of the Maritana (Wellington) shortly before six o’clock. In the Second Class, Yacht Race (first, prize, £SO and trophy) the Napier owned Atahvnta finished first, but she was disqualifiedfar having carried a larger mainsail t hau she was rated for, and the race was awarded to Rona, with Xsoa second. The other competitors were Waiwetu, Idahina, and Hapn. The Third Class Yacht Race was won by the Iris from several others. A handicap race for all yachts, irrespective of size, will be sailed on Saturday over thechampion course, when it is anticipated that, all the yachts taking part in yesterday regatta will, compote.
