Favored by fine weather, the presence of the flower of New Zealand wheelmen, and the track in capital order, the annual race meeting of the Otago Cycling Club was held under the happiest auspices on the Caledonian Ground this afternoon. The attendance was satisfactory. A high wind blew, putting record-breaking out of the question. Appended are the results:—

One-mile Novice Handicap (Roadster). —J. Tisdale, O'.C.C, 45yds, 1; W. Gibson, 0.C.C., 10yds, 2. G. Watts, 0.C.C., 35yds. J. MVhee, 0.C.C., 40yds, A. Griffin, D.C.C., 40yds and W. Yorston, 0.R.C.C., 45yds, also qualified for the final, the event being run in two neat?. "Won by a wheel's length. Time, 2min 46 2-ssec. Half-mile Dash Handicap.—First heat: C. J. Goldstone, T.C.C., 50yds, 1; C. J. Home, 0.C.C., 40yds, 2; W. J. S. Hay ward, scr, 3. Also started: H. J. Pither, Pioneer 0.C., scr; C. E. T. Hall, T.T.C.C., 25yds; and R. M'Kenzie, 0.C.C., 40yds. Won comfortably. Time, lmin 40Jsec. Second heat: E. Reynolds, Auckland C.C., scr, 1; F. G. Simpson, Pioneer C.C., syds, 2 ; J. Whelan, T.T.C.C, 30yds, 3. Also started: R. Emerson, D.C.C., 20yds; T. Maw, 0.C.C., 45yds. Won anyhow. Time, lmin 16 2-ssec. Final heat: C. J. Home, 40yds, 1; J. Whelan. 30yds, 2; C. J. Gold-: stone, 60yds, 3. The scratch men were unable'to concedeithenahdican.
