At Thursday’s meeting of Degree Lodge, I. the degree master, Bro. D. M. Miller, mada some reference to sad disaster on the northern sea coast. He felt that the hearts of Oddfellows were ever ready to sympathise with those in distress. Degrees were conferred on two candidates. The officers nominated for 1895 were :—Degree master, Bro. J. A. Walker; deputy degree master, Bro. F. A. Hancock; secretary, Bro. J. Lothian; treasurer, Bro. J. S. Alexander. It was arranged that the presentation of jewels to past officers take place at next meeting. The weekly meeting of the Hope of Cavershanl Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held on Thursday m the Caversham Hall, Bro. D. M'Laren, S. J.T., Pioneer Lodge, presiding. The following officers were duly elected and installedßro. Thorn, 0.T.; Bro. Davis, Y.T,; Bro. R.
