THE ST. BARNABAS ASSOCIATION.

Bishop Nevill this afternoon met members of the St. Barnabas Association, a body formed for the promotion of Melanesian mission work, at Mr C. H. Statham’s rooms, Zealandia Chambers. His Lordship has recently returned from Auckland, where he was present at the consecration of a new bishop for Melanesian work (Bishop Wilson, lately from England), and, having come into contact with a considerable number of members of„the staff and others interested in the mission, His Lordship deemed it his duty to call together members of the Association and give them the latest information, and thereby generally encourage the work.
