CITY COUNCIL REPORTS.

The following is a summary of the reports to be presented - at to-morrow night's meeting of the Council:

The Water Committee report that the iollowing tenders have been accepted :—Cast iron pavement boxes and covers: J. W. Faulkner, £\i 5s 4d; gfaz ; ing lease for six years and two months ending Ist July, 1900, of 2,923 a lr 20p of the waterworks reserves in the Silverpeak, North Harbor, odd Blueskin Districts: John Waldie, at a rental of £lO per annum. The Reserves Committee recommend that the application of the Dunedin and Suburban Reserves Conservation Society for permission to plant a row of deciduous shade trees in the Southern Recreation Ground along the Anderson Bay road be granted. That an application by the sanie< society for permission to plant trees in Lower Albauy street, between the Pelichet Bay Railway Station and Castle street, be declined. ThoGeneral Committee report that Mr J. Swan's, tender for supplying coal to the Town Hall, Fire Brigade Station, and Botauical Gardens had been accepted, at the following prices:—Allans dale, 19s 3d per ton; Shag Point, 18s 3d per" ton \ Castle Hill, 18s 3d per ton; Kaitangata, 18s 9d per ton; Newcastle, 2/s 3d per ton.
