[Special to the Stab.] 4 REEFTON, June 8. MrO'Regan made his filial speech in the Princess's Theatre last nigM, hnilding being packed, and the chairman pre aiding. He defended at length the position he toqk up about the repurchase of alienated lands by the Government, and said it was wrong to pay the owners for values created by the people. He spoke at length on the need of taxation reform in the direction of remitting the duties on the necessaries of life and taxes on improvements. The Labor Bureau had the effect of inducing a lot of people to come over from the neighboring colonies, and soon our labor market would be glutted. The only way to find work for the people \sqs by compelling the large landholders to open up their lands, and this cc,uld be done by tax. ing the values.
