HARBOR BOARD REPORTS.
At to-morrow's meeting of the Harbor Heard the following reports will be presented : • The Works Committe-.-, in reply to the seere-' tnrv of the Wellington Harbor Board re the providing of a spare lower tumbler for dredge 222, recommend that the inspector of works prepnie i> specification, and that tenders he called fur in the usual way. The authorising of repairs to the s.;i. Plucky's boiler reported on by the liui'hoi liia.-.tii is i,.commended, and it is advised tint the Hoard's solicitors be requested to take action under the agreement with Messrs Allen and Ellis rr p.s. Iron Age. Tlio Kinancu Comiuittee report: As to .Sir Julius Vogel's circular, the secretary and treasurer lias prepared a memorandum, which the Ctimuiitte: are of opinion should he printed and allowed to stand over till next meeting, so that the whole subject may be well ventilated before anv course of action lie decided upon. A letter lias been written to the head of the department explaining the Board's position with respect to tin; telephone at Taiaron Heads, and claiming exemption from the increased rates. Letters received from the Colonial Bank and Bank of .Vow Zealand are referred to the Board. Accounts have been passed for payment amounting to £52 12s 9d.
