At the wool sales to-day there was a small attendance and poor competition. Twenty-three hundred bales were offered, about one-sixth being sold, Prices, as compared with the last series, were— Lambs-wool 5 centimes and fleeces sto 10 centimes lower.
Gold continues to flow largely into the Bank of England, and two millions are expected within a week.
