'I he monthly meeting of No. 12 Lodge, G.0.G., was held in the lodge room, Rattray street Hall, last evening, the Right Worshipful Master (Bro. R. Graham) in the chair, ami the Deputy-Master (Bro. S. Scott) in the vice-chair. The lodge was favored with the presence of R. W.P.G. Master Bro. R. N. Adams and R.W.D.G. Master Bro. Carrick, besides which an influential member of the Order in Melbourne was also in attendance. Visitors were also present from Mosgiel and Green Island. The lodge was openeil in due and ancient form by the R.W.M., Bro. Graham, assisted by the Deputy-Master, Bro. S. Scott, and after the ordinary routine business had been transacted it was announced by the K. W. P.G. master that a female Orange lodge would be opened in Mosgiel and be named the Star of Bethlehem Orange Lodge, No. 8. It was announced by the R.W.D.M., Bro. Logie, that the district lodge meeting would be held in Green IslamL A strong committee was appointed to consider the best method of commemorating the coming 12th of July anniversary. The lodge was then closed in due form by the singing of ‘ God save the Queen.’ An .adjournment was made for the purpose of holding a harmony meeting, at which ladies and other friends were present. Refreshments were served round, after which the R.W.M. made a few remarks on the present conditions of the people of Ulster. He called upon the R.W.P.G.M. to give a short address. The harmony was continued in a very lively spirit by recitations, readings, and the singing of a few selected songs. Recitations were given by Bros. Kdgeworth and M'Nabb, songs by Mesdames Hood, Monde, Logie, Brown, and Easton, Bros. Easton, Morrie, Champness, Hood, M’Clough, and Hitt, and a reading by Bro. Neilson.
