PROHIBITION

TO TltK EDITOR.

Sir, —ln yesterday's papers I observed an announcement that "the Prohibition League were to hold a festive meeting of some kind to-night in the North-east Valley, and it was also announced that Messrs Pinkerton, Karushaw, and James Allen, M.H.R.s, were to be present, and presumably to address the meeting, I suppose, in favor of Prohibition. It seems to me to be positively indecent for anv person to advocate Prohibition who is not a total abstainer. May I ask whether the gentlemen above named come under this Category '.' lam under the impression thev" do not. What a farce thi3 sort of thing is !--[ am, etc., FIIKKDOM. Dunedin, May 2.
