MISSING FRIENDS.
The following missing friends are Inquired f.,r in ‘Lloyd’s Weekly London Newspaper’; —John Thomas Oontts left Mile End about 1575; when last heard of was at Wjndham. Daughter Agnes asks. (Father and mother are dead.)— Mary Ann Dlxcn left Brighton for New Zealand twenty years since; last heard of in Auckland three years ago, married to John Brown. Her aged mother longs for news.— Thomas Chambers (shoemaker) and his wife Sophie were last heard of in 1884 from Timarn; ho was then working for Messrs Wade and Shea, bootmakers. Sisters Mary and Rebecca would like to hear of them. Robert Anderson left Coatbridge, Scotland, about eleven years ago; last wrote to brother Robert from Mullocky Gully, near Mosgiel.—Maria Blake, nie Smith, native of Oxford, left Eilbnrn about thirty-seven years ago; last address, care of Rev. Brown, The Bu?b, New Plymouth. Her slater Jane seeks news.—John Colin left Sutherland thirty-eight years ago; last heard of in New Zealand about August, 1867. Hia daughter is anxious for news.—Caroline Scott, nie Adcock, formerly of Abbey street, Bermondsey, sailed for Wellington fifteen years ago. Her slater Alice has had no news since.—Eliza Clinker left Plymouth in the British Queen on August 23, 1883, for Christchurch; last letter dated February, 1839, from Hotel Royal, Lyttelton. Her mother is anxious for news.—Henry Thomas Loxton left London 1874 in steamer Buckinghamshire, for Dunedin; last heard of at Invercargill about ten years since. Parents inquire. Sarah Poynton, n £e Collins, sailed from Poplar Docks for New Zealand about eleven years since, with her husband, a carpenter and joiner by trade, going to work at Nelson Meat Factory in New Zealand. Brother James seeks news. William Nealan Bussell sailed for Auckland In the Hermione, Jane, 1884 ; last letter from Melbourne on June 23, 1889. Hla mother is anxious.—William Clifford left Caine, Wilts, for New Zealand, on May 4,1876. Last heard from on Jane 12,1877, Cambridge, Waikato. Sister Mary.—William David Gordon Edwloker left the gasworks at Vauxhall about fifteen months ago, and sailed as fireman on the lonic, bound for New Zealand. His sister Ada has had no news of him since.—Henry Dugald Fraser, marine engineer (was in the French Navy at St. Btienne), left Newark-on-Trent for New Zealand about April 21,1800.
