MINING LIQUIDATORS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —How long are shareholders to fco wronged by the actions of some liquidators ? It Is surely not the intention of the Mining Act that a liquidator should sell a valuable mining plant privately, without ever giving shareholders an opportunity of protecting their own interests, Yet such a course has recently been taken by the bold liquidator of the Mount Highlay Quartz Mining Company, and the whole plant sold at quite half what a number of shareholders were ready to pay for the property. Surely this scandal will not be allowed to pass over without the most strict inquiry.—l am, etc., Shareholder, Dunedin, March 15.
