At an autograph sale a letter written by Lord Byron went for L 6; and one from Dickens to Macready, intimating the completion of 1 Pickwick,’ fonnd a purchaser at L 5 12s 6d. There is some talk of a complete reorganisation of the Dutch navy, which in its present state is considered antiquated; 60,000,000 florins are to be raised by a loan for the purpose.
