The following are the results of Saturday’s matches The Garisbrook Cup Eleven defeated a thirteen of the club at Garisbrook by 5 runs. E. J. Austin (15, not out). Harper (14), Drabble (14), and Bell (12) were the chief scorers for the Gup Eleven; and Lawton (30) and Crawford (14) for the Thirteen, Hope (seven wickets for 19 runs) for the winners, and Lawton (seven for 26) for the losers, bowled well. The Garisbrook D Team v. Grange Second was played at Garisbrook, and resulted in a win for the latter by two runs on the first innings. Scores: Orange, 40 and 24 for three wickets (Wells 27 and Haydon 12); Garisbrook, 33 (Thomson 12). Monk and Fish for Garisbrook, and Wells for the Grange, bowled well. The Warehousemen Second Eleven defeated the 1 Times’s ’ First Eleven at the Oval by 14 runs. The Warehousemen scored 55 runs, towards which Origg contributed 14, Hellyer 12 (not out), and M’Robie 11. The * Times ’ replied with 41, Cooke reached double figures. In their second innings the Warehousemen at the call of time had scored 46 for the loss of seven wickets, G. Opoho No. I v. High School ended in a draw, Opoho requiring 6 runs to win with four wickets to tall at the call of time. The School made 65, Montgomery (14), M‘Arthur (21, not out), and Gregg (14) batting well, Opoho responded with 60 for six wickets. Wilson (11, not out) and Jelly (10, not out) batted well.

Anderson Bay v. Opoho No. 2 resulted in a win for the former by 17 runs. The Bay, batting first, compiled 29 runs, and Opoho responded with 12. A very enjoyable game was played on the North Dunedin Grounds on Saturday afternoon between teams representing Barningham's foundry and Joel’s and M'Gavin’s breweries combined. The game resulted in a win for the foundry men by 95 runs on the first innings, mainly owing to the efforts of O Crawford (57), H. M‘Corm*n (23), R. Macormack (22), P. Hessian (19), and the veteran Riddell (16). Doyl, Jenkins, and Joel bowled very well for the brewery, and these players also batted very well; and in fielding J. Hansen excelled all others. After cheers had been exchanged, the health of both teams was drank with honors.
