WfiLLINGTON, March 14
The Civil Service Association, whose annual meeting comes off to-morrow, have drawn a Bill for submission to the Government. The classification differs from that in force, and the Board is to consist of eight members—four appointed by an Order-in-Council, and four elected by the heads of departments. Compensation is provided for by deducting at the option of the officer * bnt not more than 7 per cent, from the salary shall be taken, which shall lie at compound interest, and be supplemented by an equal sum from the Consolidated Fund. Anderson has recovered sufficiently to answer questions, and gives a different version of the quarrel in whioh he was nearly killed to Moore’s, but details are kept secret at present.
