Altogether, the Ophlr is probably one of the most expensively-fitted and best specimens of the first-class Clyde-bnllt passenger steamer afloat. She completed her maiden trip to Sydney from London in command ef Captain Ruthven, and Is credited with having left London with a larger number of passengers than any of her predecessor?. For Sydney and transhipment ports 350 passengers arrived by the steamer, but she left London with nearly 1 OQO on bofrrd xyhen she took oe : patture from Gravesend.
