DUST OH!

SO THE EDITOR, Sib, —Verily we are a long - suffering people in this City of Dunedin, As I write, at 2 p.m., I seo the dust cart at the very door of yonr office, and the men shovelling up the dost heaps in the teeth of a gale. One-half goes into the cart; the other is freely distributed among the ratepayers, warehouses, offices, etc. We boast ox our beautiful city and our high culture; but where else, sir, will you meet such a filthy practice ? In the Home cities all streets are cleaned before business hoars. This is not a question of money, but of proper management.—l am, etc., Constant Victim. Dunedin, January 8.
