SUNDAY TRAMS.

I SO <FHB EDITOR. Sir,—l have read several letters re the Ro3lyn tram line and Sunday running. Let me point out to "Mons" that the remedy for the existing state of matters lies in his own hand. At preEent a majority of the shareholders (counting by shares) say they don't want the line, which is their property, to run on Sunday, and they surely may do as they like with their own. If " Mons " or the 2,000 other people he pleads for so pathetioally want to change this let them buy up a controlling interest in the shares, and they can then do as they like; but I suspect that they find letter writing easier than " parting " for even so good a cause. I may say I don't live on the hills, and eelfishly don't care if the Roslyn line runs or not; but I would like to draw the attention of some of our busy philanthropists in this City to the case of the drivers and conductors of the city trams in respect to Sunday traffic, Ask any of these men how many Sundays per annum thoy get to themsolve?, and the answer will astonish some of our church elders.—l am, etc., X.Y.Z.
