Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessary alterations, as uuder : For Northern Porte, overland daily, at 10.30 a.m., at Chief Post Office, Late letters, guard's van, North train, at 11 a,m, Wednesday, September 9. Mails for Oral island will close at Dunedin at 7 a.m., toconneot with the s.s. Ir.vercargill at Inveroargill. For Northern Torts.—Per Tarawera, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Poit Chalmers train, at 2 30 p.m. Thursday, September 10. For Southland, Australian Colonies (via Hobart), India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per Wairarapa, at 150 p.m. I ate letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2 30 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers, at 12.50 p.m. Parcel poßt mail for the Australian Colonies (except for New South Wales and Queensland will close at 12.20 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE, Wednesday, September 9. For Northern Ports, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Canada, South Aroerioa, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at 10 a m. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Bth. Money orders at 4 p. m. on Tuesday, Bth, Book paokets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 9th. Late letters, beating an additional single rate of postage (2s<i) as a late fee, oan be posted in the mail van attached to the North train leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 9th. The above mail will close at the Branoh Post Offices, Dunedin North and South Dunedin, for money orders at 4 pa, and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the Bth; letters at 9.30 a.m. and newspapers at 5 a.m. on tbe 9th.
