WEST HARBOR COUNCIL ELECTION.
TO TUB XDHOB. Sib,—l have just been informed that my opponent' for municipal honors has been busily engaged in circulating an insidious report to the effect that, if retained to the Council again, I shall do what I can to impose an extra rate of 31. I wish to take this opportunity of giving an unqualified denial to this statement, and if the ratepayers do me the honor of returning me again to the ConncU, not only shall I strenuously resist the imposition of extra taxes, but will do all In my power to bring about some alight remission of the present burden' some rate.— l am, etc., Thomas Ross, Rothesay, September 5.
