Sib,— For the -benefit of your correspondent “Clear Water," whose letter under the above heading appeared in last night’s Stab, I quote section 3. of the Public Health Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1884, which reads as follows:—“It shall qot;be lajyfulfor the council of any borongh or the board of any town district to establish, or perhdt to ha' established, any depot or place for the reoepjtion : or dopo»itof nightsoil removed from any inch Thorough or town district, eq as to' become a public or private nuisance or a sooroe of danger to the public taUth?: If Any Ideal board shall commit or suffer any breach of this Act, or fail to comply with the provisions thereof, any Krson aggrieved may cause proceedings to taken against the corporate body which snob local board represents in like manner as proceedings could be had or taken by a load board against ;any person. Under, the 69th, 60th, and 'dlet seotlons. of the said Act; and all other the provisions of that Act as to prodeSdihgs. the making J ahd enlorcsment jof orders, and.aa to.appeal therefrom,’'so far u applicable, shall' extend and apply aocordingly^aaidanything required to m done under the said Act by a local board may for the purposes of giving effect to this enactment be done by any snob aggrieved V
