BOARD OF GOVERNORS.
The monthly meeting of the High Schools Board of Governors, held to-day, was attended by Rev. Dr Stuart (chairman), Hon. T. Dick, Rev. A, R, Fitchett, Mr J. Carroll, and Mr H. Clark. Referring to applications from Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co., F. James, and W. Hay to lease land at Strath Taieri, Messrs Dick and Clark recommended that the forest plantation reserves referred to be advertised for yearly lease by tender. It was resolved to postpone the offering of village reserve section 8, block 5, Strath Taieri.
Blocks 20, 21, 22, and 23, township of Arden, are to be leased in separate lots, and blocks 15 to 19 be divided into two lots, only alternate lots to be offered at present; the leases to be for fourteen years.
