FEMALE SUFFRAGE.
TO THK EDITOB. Sir,—ls it not the fact that Mr Fish, M.H.R., invited ladies to attend his political meetings held in Dunedin ? Suoh being the case, why should he now oppose female franchise ? What was the use of having women there, unless to encourage them to take a greater interest in politics, in order that they might at no distant date appeal for what they are now asking; or was their presence for his own benefit? An answer from Mr Fish on the point would be instructive.—l am, etc, D. Nicol. Dunedin, June 26.
