In 1875 she was presented with a commemoration medal by the directors of the Paris Conservatoire for her admirable rendering of this magnificent air; and should Madame Patey condescend to sing it to us the memory of it will remain to the last with all who have the good fortune to hear her sing it.—l am, etc., Broomielaw, Dunedin, Jume 26. [Madame Patey has undertaken to comply with our correspondent's request, whioh has been preferred from several quarters.—Ed. E.S.]
